Exhibit took place at Janalyn Hansen White Gallery located in Cedar Rapids, IA. Thesis concept revolved around why Americans place personal physical appearance & material items at a higher value than societal issues such as homelessness & hunger.  ​​​​​​​

Hanging pieces were created using digitally artwork that was printed & then reworked using pastels, color pencils, magazine clippings, acrylic paint & gel pens.

“Not a Pretty Art Show” book was created using light pink leather, hand binding & foil stamping.

 

Post cards were sent to invitees prior to event & takeaway card titled “ Only 1/3 of Americans are Happy” was provided at exhibit to illustrate concept using infographics.
